Advances in technology and the phenomenon of globalization
have made virtual teams possible. Today is not uncommon to work in an environment
where team members collaborate and communicate virtually, across boundaries
of time, geography, and organizations. Virtual teams are a reality today,
and they are fast becoming more the rule than the exception in organizations.
More and more people are "going virtual", they are working remotely from their
employers, managers, team members and clients.
